Welcome

I arrange hymns on the piano in my spare time. These songs are completely free and are here for you. The only thing I get out of doing this is the hope that other people will enjoy it. As I am LDS (aka mormon), a number of my arrangements are specific to my faith. However, I also have a number of arrangements of other traditional hymns that are common among most Christian denominations. If you like what you find here, please share this website with your friends. Also, please leave comments. It's the only way I know if you enjoy it or not.

The Shepherd

This is a song I wrote with the intent for it to be sung by children / youth. The video is only an electronic recording of the music (made using the music writer Sibelius), but it at least lets you hear what the song sounds like. If you plan to use this song for an LDS Primary, please obtain approval from your Bishop first.

Lyrics:

Verse 1
Sweetly, gently, the Shepherd tends his sheep.
Never ceasing my Shepherd cares for me.
But when the storms grow dark and strong,
if I stray from where I belong,

Chorus
My Shepherd loves me yes he does,
when I am lost He'll search and find.
Leaving behind the ninety nine,
to save and rescue me in time.

Verse 2
Sweetly, softly, the Shepherd calls my name.
I know His voice, no other is the same.
But if the world becomes too loud,
that I don't hear the gospels sound,

Chorus
My Shepherd loves me yes he does,
when I am lost He'll search and find.
Leaving behind the ninety nine,
to save and rescue me in time.

Verse 3
On the cross and in Gethsemane,
my Shepherd crossed through death to rescue me.
So though I'll stain my wool I know,
my Lord can make me pure as snow.

Chorus
My Shepherd loves me yes he does,
when I am lost He'll search and find.
Leaving behind the ninety nine,
to save and rescue me in time.
